Daniel Farke has to make a tough decision regarding Brenden Aaronson at half-time if Leeds United are to secure victory against West Brom.
The Whites thought they were heading into the break at Elland Road with a 1-0 advantage from another Junior Firpo strike.
However, Illan Meslier could not stop Darnell Furlong’s header from breaching his net in the 39th minute so the sides went in level on Saturday (1 March).
If Farke’s side are to extend their lead at the summit of the Championship before Sheffield United play later, the German needs to axe one of his most trusted players.
Aaronson struggling v West Brom
Aaronson has been a near ever-present for Leeds this season, starting 34 of their 35 league matches in a stellar campaign.
However he has not been at the races against West Brom – the 24-year-old has recorded a 56 per cent pass accuracy, misplacing four of his nine passes.
The Whites ace has not registered a single chance created or a shot on target, despite being one of the most creative weapons in the second tier.
He has taken just 20 touches, with just one of those coming in the opposition box and his defensive effort has also been lacking.
The United States international has made just one interception and one recovery and has won just four of seven ground duels for a 57 per cent success rate.
His usual influence is nowhere to be seen and if Farke’s side are to take all three points, Aaronson needs to be axed for the second half.
Wilfried Gnonto must be brought on
Italian winger Wilfried Gnonto was involved for just seven minutes in the win over the Blades on Monday (24 February).

His display was encouraging despite the limited minutes, as he created two chances and recorded one shot on target which was heading for the top corner before Michael Cooper produced a brilliant save.
The 21-year-old must replace Aaronson against the Baggies or the Whites risk throwing away their hefty advantage at the top of the league before they have even had a chance to enjoy it.
