West Ham United, Tottenham Hotspur, and Everton are reportedly among the clubs interested in Ajax striker Brian Brobbey.
Three days ago, De Telegraaf reported that West Ham are ready to make a significant effort to sign the 22-year-old, with Tottenham and Everton also expressing interest.
Later that same day, Brobbey’s agent confirmed a visit to London, though he did not specify whether it was related to a potential transfer.
Mike Verweij, a reporter for De Telegraaf, has now provided an update on the chances of West Ham, Tottenham, and Everton landing the player. Speaking on the newspaper’s Kick-off podcast, his comments were shared by Voetbal Primeur.
Verweij mentioned that Brobbey is not keen on joining David Moyes’ team this window, as he does not find Everton an appealing option. If he were to choose between West Ham and Spurs, Brobbey would prefer to move to Ange Postecoglou’s side.
He said, “If a Premier League club like West Ham United or Spurs comes along, he doesn’t really want to go to Everton. He wants to leave. If Spurs are still interested, then yes, he wants to go there.”
West Ham have reportedly shown interest in a loan deal for Brobbey, with an option to make the move permanent if he plays five matches between now and the winter break.
However, other reports suggest Tottenham may not be keen on pursuing Brobbey. If true, this could open the door for West Ham to secure his signature, provided they can reach an agreement with both the player and Ajax.
