The Newcastle United record Alexander Isak CAN achieve and his ranking in club’s top 10

Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak extended his Premier League goal tally to 48 with two goals against Southampton over the weekend.

By scoring a brace, Isak surpassed his teammate Callum Wilson in the rankings and now trails Alan Shearer by 100 goals. Among other current players, Joelinton, with 22 Premier League goals, is 12 away from catching Rob Lee.

Here’s how the list looks after Isak continued his impressive form, adding to his 19 goals this season across all competitions. The former Real Sociedad and Borussia Dortmund forward now has 54 total goals for the Magpies across all tournaments.

1. Alan Shearer – 148
The legendary striker, who is also Newcastle’s all-time top scorer, scored his first goal in 1996 with a free-kick against Wimbledon. He went on to net 206 goals for the club, including a penalty against Sunderland in his final match before injury cut his career short.

2. Alexander Isak – 48
At just 25 years old, Isak is already in second place. Although he trails Shearer by 100 goals, he could still have a long career with Newcastle and is currently in the race for the Premier League Golden Boot, just one goal behind Erling Haaland and two behind Mo Salah.

3. Callum Wilson – 47
Wilson, who has struggled with injuries this season, has only made four appearances, allowing Isak to pass him in the rankings. His last goal came nine months ago in a 4-1 win over Burnley. If he can overcome his injury problems, he could reach the 50-goal mark and remain a fixture in the top three.

4. Peter Beardsley – 46
Beardsley joined Newcastle in 1993 for £1.5 million at the age of 32, and despite his age, he still had plenty to give. The former Liverpool and Everton player scored numerous memorable goals in his second spell at Newcastle. Notable moments include a stunning volley at QPR in 1994 and a powerful strike against Norwich City in 1995. Beardsley ended his career with 117 goals over two stints at the club.
