LONDON DERBY PREVIEW: Palace’s Revival to End at Fulham’s Hands?

This Saturday, Crystal Palace host Fulham at Selhurst Park, but according to Michael Owen, the Eagles’ recent resurgence is set to stall.

Despite Palace’s unbeaten run in their last three matches, Owen predicts a Fulham victory. “I think Palace’s momentum will come to an end against Fulham,” Owen said. “Marco Silva’s side have the quality and balance to exploit Palace’s inconsistent home record.”

Palace, 17th in the table, have shown signs of improvement under Oliver Glasner, with victories over Tottenham and Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup. However, Owen believes Fulham’s experience and firepower will prove too much for the Eagles.

“Fulham’s recent slump is misleading,” Owen explained. “They’ve faced tough opponents and still managed to pick up points. Their away form is impressive, and I think they’ll edge this one.”

“I’ve been impressed with Fulham’s resilience,” said former Fulham midfielder, Steve Sidwell. “They’ve got the talent and depth to cause problems for Palace. Marco Silva’s tactics will be key in unlocking Palace’s defence.”

Paul Merson and Chris Sutton had predicted a 1-1 draw, but Owen disagrees. “I don’t see this being a stalemate. Fulham will take advantage of Palace’s defensive vulnerabilities and come out on top.”

“Fulham’s attacking options will be too much for Palace to handle,” added former Palace striker, Clinton Morrison. “Palace need to be solid at the back, but I think Fulham will find a way through.”

The match promises to be an intriguing encounter, with Palace seeking to continue their climb up the table. However, Owen’s prediction suggests Fulham’s quality will prevail.
