MOT View: Leeds social media admin plays blinder with Burnley video

Leeds United played out one of the dullest games in recent Championship memory, drawing 0-0 with Burnley on Monday.

The Whites have dominated most teams this season, scoring a league-high 53 goals. However, Burnley’s defense, which is on track to break records, managed to limit Leeds to just one shot on target.

That shot, from Dan James, came in the dying minutes and was the only notable attempt in a 90 minutes of uneventful play at Turf Moor on January 27.

The only other moment of any real significance was a soft penalty shout that went unheeded, with no complaints from the visiting players.

Leeds United end in a 0-0 stalemate with Burnley.

The social media team, likely facing content targets, opted for a creative response instead of a typical highlights reel – and it worked out perfectly. On January 28, Leeds posted a five-second TikTok video showing the opening kickoff, Ilan Meslier’s goal kick, and the managers shaking hands. If anything captures the essence of the match, it’s that clip.

While some may be concerned about Leeds and Burnley’s performances going forward, Daniel Farke won’t be worried. Leeds remain top of the table with 29 games played, keeping their destiny firmly in their own hands as February approaches.
