Wolves Star Pablo Sarabia Confirms Departure from Molineux
Veteran Wolves star Pablo Sarabia has announced his exit from the club, following in the footsteps of Matheus Cunha. The 33-year-old Spanish attacker, who joined the club from Paris Saint-Germain in 2023, will officially depart when his contract expires at the end of next month.
During his time at Wolves, Sarabia netted eight goals in 77 matches, including a sensational free-kick in last month’s victory at Manchester United, which earned him the club’s Goal of the Season accolade for the second consecutive year. Despite his contributions, Sarabia was limited to only seven Premier League starts this term.
In a heartfelt farewell message, Sarabia expressed his gratitude to the fans for their unwavering support, saying, “I was very happy with my family and everyone at Wolves. Everyone tried to help me and my family, and for me, that’s the most important thing in life.”
Sarabia highlighted the excellent quality of life in Wolverhampton and praised the team’s camaraderie, stating, “I have very good memories of Wolves in terms of quality of life, in terms of playing with the supporters, every single game I felt them in the stadium.”
The Spanish attacker also commended the fans’ dedication, particularly during the team’s difficult moments, saying, “When we were living a very hard situation, for example, at the beginning of this season, the support was always behind us, and because of this, they are number 12 (the 12th man), and it’s one of the most important things at Wolves, their support.”
Sarabia concluded by expressing his appreciation for the opportunity to play for Wolves and his commitment to supporting the team in the future, stating, “Always I will be a supporter of Wolves. I wish the best for Wolves every single season. I’m going to support Wolves for all my life, because I’m very thankful.”
Sarabia’s departure marks the end of an era for the Wolves star, but his legacy will live on through the memories he created on and off the pitch.
