Nelson Semedo reacts with 18 words after third straight win, Wolves fans will love three of them especially

Wolves Take Major Step Toward Safety with 2-1 Victory Over Ipswich

Wolves moved 12 points clear of the relegation zone on Saturday after securing a vital 2-1 win against local rivals Ipswich Town at Portman Road.

It was a significant result for Vitor Pereira’s side, who now look all but safe from the drop in the Premier League.

Ipswich initially took the lead through Liam Delap in the first half, giving the hosts hope of a crucial win. However, Wolves responded impressively after the break, with goals from Pablo Sarabia and Jorgen Strand Larsen completing the turnaround.

A defeat would’ve been unthinkable for Wolves. Had Ipswich closed the gap to six points, the pressure could have intensified significantly. Instead, Wolves displayed resilience and composure, delivering one of their best performances of the season.

Semedo Urges Wolves to Stay Ambitious

Following the win, captain Nelson Semedo issued a passionate call for ambition. The victory lifted Wolves to 32 points, with seven games remaining—meaning a possible total of 53 points still on the table.

While that total may be unlikely, Semedo is urging his teammates to aim high. Posting on Instagram, the 31-year-old wrote:
“Team spirit, passion, togetherness, a pack. We are alive. 7 to go—let’s be ambitious. Wolves ay we.”

Semedo has embraced the captain’s role superbly since taking over earlier this season, offering leadership, calmness, and consistently positive messaging on and off the pitch.

Under his guidance, Wolves have found their best form of the campaign. They now trail just three points behind West Ham and Everton, with a top-half finish still within reach.

While Semedo’s future remains uncertain—with fans hopeful he’ll extend his contract—his influence has been undeniable. Appointed captain in one of Gary O’Neil’s final decisions before his departure, Semedo has proven himself a steady and inspirational leader.

If this is his final season at Molineux, he’s certainly making it count.
