Fabrizio Romano: Everton working on two signings including “incredibly fast” star

Everton are expected to sign one or two new players before the January transfer window closes, despite a quiet start to their winter activity, Fabrizio Romano has exclusively informed GIVEMESPORT.

The Toffees, who appointed David Moyes earlier this month, have yet to make any signings but are actively looking for reinforcements in the final two weeks of the transfer period.

Romano suggests that Everton are likely to complete one or two deals before the window shuts on February 3, with Lyon winger Ernest Nuamah remaining a target.

The Ghanaian winger was previously linked with a move to Goodison Park last summer and has continued to be monitored by the club. Talks are now underway about a potential January transfer.

Despite a slow start to the month, Romano told GIVEMESPORT that Everton are preparing for a busy end to the window, with Nuamah still firmly on their radar:

“Everton will definitely make moves. I expect them to sign one or two players, and Nuamah is still on their list, as they wanted him last summer but couldn’t secure a deal.”

Nuamah, who was also linked with a move to Premier League club Fulham last summer, has had limited playing time at Lyon this season, starting just five Ligue 1 matches and failing to register any goals or assists in 465 minutes.

Lyon’s financial struggles could force them to sell key players like Nuamah to avoid further complications, including the risk of relegation to Ligue 2.

It remains uncertain whether Everton will seize this opportunity as negotiations for Nuamah’s potential move to Goodison Park continue.
