‘I am sure’ – Fabian Hürzeler makes prediction about Ruben Amorim at Manchester United

Brighton manager Fabian Hürzeler is confident that Manchester United will improve under Ruben Amorim, despite their latest defeat. United have now lost seven of their first fifteen matches under the Portuguese coach, and their 3-1 loss to Brighton on Sunday left no room for complaints.

This defeat marks United’s worst start at home in the league since 1893-94, with seven losses from their first 12 home games. Amorim has acknowledged that he may be managing one of the weakest teams in the club’s 147-year history. A significant turnaround is needed if United are to salvage what has been a disappointing season, with challenging fixtures against Rangers and Fulham next week.

Hürzeler, who enjoyed his first managerial visit to Old Trafford, refrained from adding to United’s misery after the victory. When asked if he sensed any nervousness in the United squad before the match, he responded: “I wouldn’t say that. They have world-class players, and we came here after not being in the best form, with many draws. We had to stay strong, build self-belief, and avoid doubts. I’m sure Ruben will find a good solution.”

“We knew how Manchester United would play, and we prepared for that. We also felt we were in a good moment, coming off two wins with plenty of self-belief and confidence. It’s crucial to focus on preparing the team while also concentrating on our own strengths.”
