🚨BREAKING: Everton now closing in on deal to sign £25m “fantastic dribbler” for Moyes

Everton are on the verge of finalizing a deal to sign a “fantastic dribbler,” with an agreement nearly in place, according to reports.

Moyes Aims to Secure Everton’s Premier League Survival
David Moyes has just begun his second tenure as Everton manager, and he’s made it clear that his primary objective this season is to keep the team in the Premier League after a challenging first half under Sean Dyche.

Moyes stated, “I had 11 wonderful and successful years at Everton and didn’t hesitate when the opportunity to return to this great club arose.”

“We now need Goodison and all Evertonians to support the players in this crucial season so we can enter our new stadium as a Premier League team.”

The 61-year-old’s past successes at Goodison Park offer fans some hope that survival is achievable, though it’s far from guaranteed, as the Toffees are only one point above the relegation zone.

As a result, Moyes may be looking to strengthen his squad this month, and Everton are reportedly closing in on their first acquisition.

Journalist Santi Aouna reveals that Lyon winger Ernest Nuamah is now one step away from joining Goodison Park, with all parties nearly reaching an agreement. This would make the 21-year-old the first signing of Moyes’ second spell at the club.

It has previously been reported that the deal could be worth around £25m, making Nuamah a significant investment for Everton.

Everton’s Upcoming Premier League Fixtures

Aston Villa (H) – January 15

Tottenham Hotspur (H) – January 19

Brighton & Hove Albion (A) – January 25

Leicester City (H) – February 1

Crystal Palace (A) – February 15

What Nuamah Brings to Everton
Nuamah has been praised for his potential by journalist Owuraku Ampofo. He is particularly noted for his dribbling ability, ranking in the 85th percentile for progressive carries per 90 minutes over the past year among players in his position.

However, questions remain about his finishing, as he ranks in the 16th percentile for non-penalty goals and the 20th percentile for assists.

Nuamah has yet to record a goal or assist in Ligue 1 this season, making this a potentially risky signing for Everton. Still, at just 21 years old, there is significant room for development, and he could improve with regular playing time at Goodison Park.
