View: 2/10 ace puts in stinker, MOTM bags 8/10 – Everton player ratings v Bournemouth

Everton suffered a 1-0 defeat against Bournemouth in the Premier League at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday.

David Brooks scored in the 77th minute to secure the three points for the hosts on 4 January.

The Toffees failed to create much all game and did not find the back of the net.

Here are our player ratings:

Jordan Pickford – 6

Made a number of saves all game and there was little he could do to prevent the ball from going into the back of the net.

Ashley Young – 4

His crossing was off it right from the start and he was far from comfortable in possession.

James Tarkowski – 6

Defended well and was tidy in possession as he managed to keep the Bournemouth attackers at bay.

Jarrad Branthwaite – 4

Was poor in the concession of the goal as he dunked, making things easy for the hosts to score and also picked up a yellow card.

Vitalii Mykolenko – 6

Did a solid job defensively and while he may have wanted to contribute more in the final third, it just wasn’t to be.

Orel Mangala – 7

Had a solid outing in the middle of the work and performed his role well.

Idrissa Gueye – 8

Was incredible in possession as he bossed the midfield exceptionally and also won most of his duels in the middle of the park.

Jesper Lindstrom – 2

Was undoubtedly the worst player on the pitch and was rightly taken off by Dyche at the break as he failed to do anything properly.

Abdoulaye Doucoure – 3

Kept getting bullied in the air as well as on the ground and it wasn’t a performance worth writing home about.

Iliman Ndiaye – 6

Offered some kind of threat in the final third but unfortunately failed to find the back of the net for the Toffees.

Armando Broja – 4

Was struggling to get into the game before he had to be taken off in the 32nd minute due to an injury.

Substitutes

Dominic Calvert-Lewin – 4

Much like Broja, he struggled to get involved in proceedings and failed to attempt a single shot on goal.

Nathan Patterson – 5

Looked to make things happen in the final third and the Toffees looked much better going forward with him in the team.

Harrison Armstrong – 3

Got bullied in midfield and was far from comfortable with the ball at his feet.

Beto – 4

Came on late in the game to turn things around but failed to make that happen.
