Eberechi Eze’s Crystal Palace future in doubt over Arsenal link.

Crystal Palace Star’s Absence Sparks Transfer Speculation

Crystal Palace midfielder Eberechi Eze didn’t feature in the Eagles’ pre-season friendly win over Millwall, sparking intense speculation about his future at Selhurst Park. However, the club has come out to clarify that Eze’s absence was always planned, given his extended campaign with England.

According to Palace, any player who spent time on international duty this summer hasn’t yet returned to training. “Any player who has been on international duty this summer has yet to return to training,” a club statement read.

The 25-year-old’s absence from the match against Millwall, which Palace won 1-0, has fueled rumors about potential moves to Arsenal and Tottenham. Both north London clubs are looking to bolster their attacking options and have reportedly been scouting Eze.

The England international’s £68million release clause has made him an attractive prospect for the likes of Arsenal, who are also rumored to be interested in Rodrygo and Nico Williams. However, it’s said they’re now considering Noni Madueke as a potential target.

Tottenham, meanwhile, have already added Mohamed Kudus to their ranks and are now eyeing Morgan Gibbs-White from Nottingham Forest.

Since joining Palace from Reading in 2020, Eze has been impressive, scoring 39 goals in 166 appearances. He stepped up admirably last season after Michael Olise’s departure to Bayern Munich.

The Eagles have faced a setback this week, being demoted from the Europa League to the Europa Conference League due to a breach of UEFA rules. Whether this will impact the future of any player remains to be seen.

As the transfer window heats up, Palace will be keen to hold onto their star players, including Eze. Only time will tell if the talented midfielder will stay or go.
