West Ham United are keen to sign AS Roma striker Tammy Abraham before the summer transfer window closes, according to Foot Mercato. The 26-year-old England international has been sidelined by a serious knee injury and is now surplus to requirements at Roma due to his high salary.

Roma are eager to recoup most of the €41m they paid to sign Abraham and are open to selling him. West Ham have already signed Niclas Füllkrug this month but are still looking to add another striker to their squad.

Juventus and AC Milan have also shown interest in Abraham but have not made progress in their pursuit. Foot Mercato suggests that Abraham could be heading to the Premier League, with West Ham leading the race for his signature.

Gazzetta dello Sport previously reported that West Ham would need to pay around €25m to sign Abraham. If successful, Abraham would join a West Ham squad looking to build on their recent signings and make a push up the Premier League table.
