View: 9/10 MOTM as 3/10 stinks out Goodison Park — Everton player ratings v Ipswich

Ipswich Town drew 2-2 in the Premier League on Saturday, but Dwight McNeil marked his 100th Everton appearance in style.

Goodison Park hosted Kieran McKenna’s team on 3 May, with the 25-year-old scoring an impressive goal for the hosts in the first half.

Beto gave David Moyes’ team the initial lead in the 26th minute before the former Burnley attacker beat Alex Palmer.

Julio Enciso gave Jordan Pickford no chance with his unbelievable strike just before the break, though, and George Hirst subsequently got an equaliser at around the 80th-minute mark.

Here, Goodison News have given their player ratings for the fixture:

Everton slip against Ipswich

Jordan Pickford – 5

Pickford couldn’t have done much with Enciso’s goal, and the flight on the cross for Hirst’s header made things difficult for the goalkeeper.

Nathan Patterson (Substituted for Ashley Young in the 82nd minute) – 7

Patterson had a few defensive challenges but provided an attacking threat with his dangerous crosses.

Jake O’Brien – 3

O’Brien lost his head in the first half as he got into a tussle with Liam Delap, with both going into the referee’s book and let Hirst get the equaliser.

Jarrad Branthwaite – 7

Vitalii Mykolenko – 4

Idrissa Gueye (Substituted for Tim Iroegbunam in the 90th minute) – 6

James Garner – 7

Garner was at the centre of Everton’s control in the game, circulating possession with care.

Dwight McNeil (Substituted for Jack Harrison in the 78th minute) – 9

McNeil scored a brilliant goal in the first half. The Englishman continued to be a threat after the break.
