Sky Sports News: United Ready to Offload £50m Ace to West Ham as Ten Hag Gives Blessing for Shock Move To Hammers

August 10, 2024

West Ham United’s summer transfer window has been nothing short of impressive, with the Hammers making significant strides in rebuilding their squad under new manager Julen Lopetegui. According to Sky Sports journalist Dharmesh Sheth, West Ham are quietly confident about signing Manchester United’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka, a £50 million-rated player.

Sheth revealed on Sky Sports News that there is “cautious optimism” surrounding the deal, with many details already agreed upon. While there is still work to be done on the fee structure, West Ham’s optimism is palpable.

This potential signing would be a significant coup for West Ham, who have already secured the services of Crysencio Summerville, Max Kilman, and Niclas Fullkrug. Jean-Clair Todibo is also set to join the ranks, further bolstering the Hammers’ defense.

The addition of Wan-Bissaka and Todibo would make West Ham’s defense nearly impenetrable, with Max Kilman and Alphonse Areola already forming a solid foundation. Emerson Palmieri, although not the strongest option, would still provide a reliable presence on the left side.

With Edson Alvarez and Guido Rodriguez screening the back four, West Ham would boast a formidable defense, making them a force to be reckoned with in the upcoming season. The attacking talent at their disposal, including Summerville, Jarrod Bowen, Mohammed Kudus, and Fullkrug, would make them a compelling team to watch.
