Kalvin Phillips’ ill-fated loan spell at West Ham United has been deemed a failure by Alan Pardew, who believes the midfielder needs a fresh start. Phillips, 28, joined West Ham on loan from Manchester City last season but made just 10 appearances, conceding goals and receiving a red card. Pardew stated, “The loan thing never really worked for him. The West Ham move was really poor for him and the club. Whatever happens, he needs a new club.”

With Phillips set to leave Manchester City, Everton is rumored to be his next destination, according to Fabrizio Romano. Phillips will hope to recapture his form from his Leeds United days after a disappointing stint at West Ham. His debut saw him concede a goal against Bournemouth, followed by defeats against Manchester United and Arsenal, and a red card against Nottingham Forest.

David Moyes’ decision to sign Phillips has been deemed a mistake, despite the need to replace injured Edson Alvarez. Fans quickly lost patience with the loanee, but most want Phillips to rediscover his passion for football and make a comeback. Meanwhile, West Ham is eyeing Oumar Solet, while Julen Lopetegui has made a new demand.
