Leicester City have added Bristol City manager Liam Manning to their shortlist of options to replace Ruud Van Nistelrooy should he leave, GIVEMESPORT sources can reveal.
The Foxes have seen their relegation to the Championship confirmed after a poor Premier League campaign this season, but picked up a huge win over Southampton this past weekend – their first since a victory over Tottenham back in January.
There is, however, still expected to be changes at the King Power Stadium this summer in the dugout and GMS sources can reveal that talks are expected to be held this week between club hierarchy and van Nistelrooy over his immediate future – with a strong chance that a change is made once the season comes to an end.

van Nistelrooy decision expected imminently
The Foxes are expected to make a decision on the future of current boss Van Nistelrooy imminently, with the process being led by chairman Aiyawatt “Top” Srivaddhanaprabha and Jon Rudkin.
Rudkin’s future is also under scrutiny at the club, but he is currently the man leading the succession planning.
Manning has been added to the shortlist of options to come in for next season after his fantastic campaign with Bristol City, which has seen him described as ‘unbelievable’, where he has led the Robins to the playoffs with 68 points – the second-highest points tally they have achieved since promotion back in 2015.

Alongside Manning, GMS sources understand that Sheffield Wednesday boss Danny Rohl is also considered to be a candidate for the role but he is also a target for fellow-relegated side Southampton as well as clubs in Saudi Arabia.
Experienced manager Sean Dyche and ex-Saints boss Russell Martin are two other names under consideration.

Lots of change expected at Leicester
While there is likely to be a new manager in the dugout for next season, there is expected to be big changes on the pitch too for Leicester City.
It’s already been confirmed that legendary striker Jamie Vardy will depart when his contract with the club expires this summer, while there is also interest in Nigeria international Wilfred Ndidi due to a £9m relegation release clause in his contract.
The Foxes are expecting big interest and face a battle to keep him, with Premier League clubs Everton and Crystal Palace understood to be considering a move to bring him in. Saudi clubs are also expected to enter the race, with Al-Ahli having a historical interest in the 28-year-old.
There is also expected to be big interest in goalkeeper Mads Hermansen after a string of top performances this season despite the club’s relegation.
