Rasmus Kristensen has been a mainstay at Eintracht Frankfurt since joining on loan from Leeds United last summer.
The Denmark international has made 34 appearances for the German club, playing a crucial role in Dino Toppmöller’s squad.
According to Tipsbladet, Kristensen believes he is currently experiencing the best form of his career in Germany. He attributes his improved performances to changes in his diet and overall approach.
The right-back joined Leeds from Red Bull Salzburg in June 2022 and spent last season on loan at AS Roma, where he struggled to make a consistent impact. However, he has flourished at Eintracht Frankfurt this season.
Frankfurt hold a €15 million purchase option, but German media reports suggest they are reluctant to pay more than €10 million. With Kristensen under contract at Leeds until 2027, his future remains uncertain.
“I’m still owned by Leeds, so that’s the scenario I have to work in. That is a fact,” he stated.
The 27-year-old has expressed a strong desire to remain in Frankfurt beyond this season and hopes to reach an agreement with Leeds.
“Yes, I would like to stay, and I haven’t hidden that. My family and I are happy here. I hope we can find a solution, but if not, then I’ll have to find happiness elsewhere,” Kristensen said.
