Junior Firpo didn’t hide his jealousy after Leeds United played out a 2-2 draw with QPR at Loftus Road on Saturday.
Daniel Farke’s team dropped more points in the race for Premier League promotion on March 15, failing to beat 15th-placed QPR, who had been on a four-game losing streak heading into the match.
Leeds will be relieved to have come away with a point after battling back from two goals down, with an own goal from Morgan Fox and a strike from Jayden Bogle helping them salvage a draw.
This result allowed Sheffield United to close the gap on Leeds, who remain top of the Championship table on goal difference.
Firpo Responds to Bogle’s Goal
Despite the draw, Bogle was in high spirits after scoring for Leeds at QPR and shared his excitement on social media.
The right-back also motivated the club’s fans, urging them to make one final push for promotion once the international break ends.
“Final push after the break,” Bogle wrote on Instagram (March 15), accompanied by blue and yellow heart emojis.
Firpo responded to the 24-year-old’s post, playfully commenting on Bogle’s “greed” for goals.
“How greedy,” the former Barcelona player wrote, adding a fire emoji, with Joel Piroe also joining the conversation.
In addition to the two Leeds players, former Sheffield United forward Oli McBurnie also sent a message to Bogle.
Leeds’ Promotion Hopes
Leeds have allowed Sheffield United to close the gap by dropping seven points in their last five Championship games. They also need to watch out for Burnley, who are just two points behind them.
With only seven matches left, the battle for automatic promotion is set to go down to the wire.
However, Farke and his team remain optimistic about their chances of securing Premier League football next season, having been at the top of the table since before the New Year.
