Ian Wright and Roy Keane disagree with Gary Neville over the result of Nottingham Forest vs Fulham

After a dramatic FA Cup win against Exeter in midweek it’s back to the Premier League this weekend for Nottingham Forest.

The Reds made hard work of beating League One opposition. Forest needed a penalty shootout to prevail against the Grecians following a 2-2 stalemate after 120 minutes of football.

Ibrahim Sangare was buzzing to return for the game. He was one of several players to get more minutes into his legs and in that sense, that game did prove beneficial with Nuno Espirito Santo ringing the changes.

Taiwo Awoniyi broke his nose at Exeter on Tuesday night. As a result, the Reds will likely be without the Nigerian for this weekend’s trip to Craven Cottage to play Fulham.

Roy Keane and Gary Neville disagree on Nottingham Forest score

It’s the time of the week once again when pundits start delivering their predictions on the weekend’s games and The Overlap cast have been having their say.

Forest were beaten for the first time this season by Fulham back in September and the Reds will have retribution in their sights this weekend.

The Cottagers are on the brink of the European places in the top half of the Premier League and a win this weekend for them will enhance their aspirations.

The pundits disagreed on the result this weekend, with the conversation going as follows:

Jill Scott: “I fancy Forest, do you not think, Gary?”

Gary Neville: “I think Fulham might be an opponent that won’t suit Forest. It will be tight this one though. Let’s go 2-1 Forest.”

Ian Wright: “1-1 for me.”

Roy Keane: “Agree, 1-1.”

Forest must go back to basics on the road

The last away game in the Premier League was a disaster for Forest. Bournemouth turned the Reds over 5-0 in a game that threatened to derail the huge strides made by the team.

However, Forest did roar back to make the Bournemouth defeat a thing of the past by thrashing Brighton 7-0 at the City Ground last time out.

It will be interesting to see how the team looks this weekend. Espirito Santo needed to bring some of his top stars on to defeat Exeter and it remains to be seen how they recover.

Forest have a really tricky run of fixtures in the next few weeks and getting three points against Fulham would set the team up just nicely ahead of that run.
