Nottingham Forest are so satisfied with their current squad that they’ve started considering potential departures in the January transfer window.
Nuno Espirito Santo is delighted with his starting XI, and given the team’s excellent results, it’s easy to see why.
With Forest firmly in the running for a Champions League spot, they are well-positioned, although the season is only halfway through.
A new striker is definitely a priority this month, especially with the risk of injuries to either Chris Wood or Taiwo Awoniyi potentially disrupting their impressive campaign.
At the moment, however, the focus is on potential outgoings, as Nuno Espirito Santo aims to streamline his squad ahead of the 2025 push.
Nottingham Forest are open to offers for Harry Toffolo, Emmanuel Dennis, Andrew Omobamidele, and Lewis O’Brien.
Lewis O’Brien has impressed during his time at LAFC, but the club couldn’t meet Forest’s £5m asking price. Emmanuel Dennis has been largely forgotten at the City Ground, while Harry Toffolo and Andrew Omobamidele have seen limited action this season.
According to Sky Sports, all four players are available for permanent transfers or loans, with Forest open to offers.
This seems like a smart move from Nuno Espirito Santo.
Andrew Omobamidele is valued at around £10 million, O’Brien at £5 million, and the other two could bring in smaller fees, potentially freeing up funds for a new addition at no extra cost.
A loan deal might not be ideal for Emmanuel Dennis, who has been sidelined for much of the season.
With Harry Toffolo’s contract expiring in the summer, any fee for him would be a bonus.
Regarding new signings, things are quiet at the moment, with the club waiting for the right opportunities to emerge in the market.
