Everton striker Beto has been the subject of transfer speculation in recent months, with both Roma and Torino linked to a potential move for the forward.
Recent reports suggest that Torino are now making significant progress in their pursuit of the Portuguese striker, who has struggled for regular playing time at Everton, starting just once in the Premier League this season.
According to TuttoSport, Torino sporting director Davide Vagnati is “tightening contacts” to secure Beto’s signature.
While the same outlet reported last week that Everton were open to a straightforward loan deal, their stance has since shifted.
It is now claimed that Everton are demanding an obligation to buy for €16 million to be included in any loan agreement.
The Merseyside club has reportedly communicated this condition to Torino, making it clear that a simple loan deal is no longer acceptable.
The move appears to have the backing of Torino manager Paolo Vanoli, who is said to be pushing for the transfer.
Beto himself is also eager for the switch, with his representatives reportedly asking Everton to facilitate the move.
While the deal has been described as “difficult,” it is not considered impossible, leaving Torino hopeful of striking an agreement.
