Nuno Espírito Santo Hands Morgan Gibbs-White and Elliot Anderson Instant Returns as Nottingham Forest Face Ipswich Town

Nottingham Forest head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has named his starting lineup for this afternoon’s Premier League clash against Ipswich Town, and there’s a welcome return for two key players. Morgan Gibbs-White and Elliot Anderson, who both missed last weekend’s 3-0 defeat to Arsenal due to injury, have been passed fit to face the Tractor Boys.

The duo come straight back into the side as Nuno makes five changes to the starting XI that lost at the Emirates Stadium. Gibbs-White and Anderson’s returns will be a significant boost to Forest’s midfield, and they will be looking to make an instant impact against Ipswich Town.

“We’re delighted to have Morgan and Elliot back in the team,” said Nuno. “They’re both important players for us, and their returns will give us a big lift. We’re looking forward to seeing them back in action and helping us to get a positive result against Ipswich Town.”

Jota Silva is also handed his first Premier League start, while Chris Wood returns to the line-up after being among the substitutes last time out. Neco Williams comes into the side at full-back, with Ola Aina on the opposite side. Nikola Milenkovic and Murillo keep their places at centre-back ahead of goalkeeper Matz Sels.

Anderson will line up alongside Ryan Yates in midfield, while Gibbs-White will join Jota and Callum Hudson-Odoi in supporting front man Wood. Forest will be looking to get back to winning ways after consecutive defeats, and Nuno will be hoping that his team can rediscover their defensive solidity against Ipswich Town.

“We’ve been working hard on the training pitch to make sure we’re solid at the back and clinical up front,” said Nuno. “We know that Ipswich Town will be a tough opponent, but we’re confident that we can get a positive result if we play to our best.”

The match kicks off at 3 pm, and Forest will be looking to get off to a strong start. With Gibbs-White and Anderson back in the team, Forest will be hoping to cause Ipswich Town problems and get back to winning ways.

Starting XI: Sels; Williams, Milenkovic, Murillo, Aina; Yates, Anderson; Jota, Gibbs-White, Hudson-Odoi; Wood.

Subs: Miguel, Morato, Awoniyi, Toffolo, Dominguez, Ward-Prowse, Moreno, Elanga, Sosa.
