Graeme Souness and Simon Jordan Defend Sean Dyche Amid Everton Sack Calls

Despite Everton’s poor start to the season, Graeme Souness and Simon Jordan have expressed their support for manager Sean Dyche, dismissing calls for his sacking.

Speaking on talkSPORT, Souness said: “They’re in trouble, but I feel for Sean Dyche. They played some good stuff, got their goals, and then the roof collapsed on them. He’s fighting fires all over the place, trying to keep players’ heads up.”

Jordan concurred, stating: “I don’t think there should be any doubt – I don’t know why there would be. His interview after the game was very good and very balanced. They did everything right for 87 minutes, nullifying a good Bournemouth side and making them look completely average.”

Both Souness and Jordan acknowledged the challenges facing Dyche, including the team’s slow start to the season and off-field issues. However, they emphasized that Dyche is the right man for the job, citing his previous successes at Goodison Park.

With 35 games remaining in the season, Souness and Jordan believe that Everton can turn things around under Dyche’s leadership. They also noted that finding a suitable replacement would be difficult, especially given the current takeover situation at the club.

In conclusion, while fans may be frustrated with Everton’s start to the season, Souness and Jordan’s comments suggest that Dyche deserves more time to address the team’s issues and turn things around.
