Crystal Palace wrapped up a busy transfer deadline day with two permanent signings and two loan deals, completing Oliver Glasner’s squad until the winter transfer window opens in January.

The Eagles signed Arsenal forward Eddie Nketiah on a five-year deal worth up to £30 million, with £25 million guaranteed and £5 million in add-ons. The 25-year-old Nketiah joined Arsenal from Chelsea’s youth setup at 14 and scored 38 goals in 168 games for the Gunners.

“It’s amazing to sign for Crystal Palace – I’m excited to get going,” said Nketiah. “Every time I come back to South London, it always puts a smile on my face, so it’s good to be back home.”

Palace chairman Steve Parish added: “It’s brilliant to welcome Eddie, a senior England international, back to South London. We are delighted he has signed for Crystal Palace. I am confident that his energy, talent, and hunger to succeed will endear him to his new teammates and supporters alike.”

Glasner was also reunited with Wolfsburg center-back Maxence Lacroix, who joined Palace on a five-year deal worth up to £18 million. Lacroix worked under Glasner during his time in charge of Wolfsburg.

Additionally, Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah joined on a season-long loan deal. The 25-year-old was given permission to leave Chelsea after being left out of the club’s pre-season tour of the United States.

Goalkeeper Matt Turner joined on a season-long loan from Nottingham Forest to provide cover for Dean Henderson after Sam Johnstone joined Wolves.

Odsonne Edouard, Naouirou Ahamada, and Sam Johnstone all left Palace on transfer deadline day. Edouard joined Leicester on a season-long loan, while Ahamada joined French side Stade Rennais on a season-long loan with an option to buy. Sam Johnstone made a permanent move to Wolves in a £10 million deal.
