West Ham United’s summer transfer activity continues to gather pace, with the club reportedly keen on signing Toulouse defender Logan Costa. According to Italian publication Il Resto del Carlino, Costa is waiting for West Ham to make their move, with Bologna also in talks for the 22-year-old centre-back.

Valued at £12m, Costa has been on West Ham’s radar for some time, with new manager Julen Lopetegui eager to bolster his defensive options. The Hammers have already signed Max Kilman and Niclas Fullkrug, but Lopetegui is keen to add another defender to his ranks.

Costa enjoyed a stellar individual season in Ligue 1, and it’s no surprise that he’s attracting interest from bigger clubs. However, with West Ham still weighing up whether to sign him, they risk losing out to Bologna, who are keen to bring the defender to Italy.

West Ham need to make a decision on Costa soon, with less than a month left in the transfer window. The club can’t afford to waste time on deals they’re not entirely convinced about, and may be better off focusing their attention on other targets.

As it stands, Costa is waiting for West Ham to show their intentions. If they don’t act soon, they may miss out on a talented young defender who could be a valuable addition to their squad.
