West Ham United have undergone a significant transformation this summer, bolstering their squad with an array of exciting signings. The arrival of Niclas Fullkrug, Crysencio Summerville, Max Kilman, and Luis Guilherme, among others, has sent a clear message of intent from the Hammers. With new manager Julen Lopetegui at the helm, the club is poised to make a significant impact next season.

However, it appears that West Ham’s transfer business may not be over just yet. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran is eager to join the East London outfit. Romano revealed to GiveMeSport: “At the moment, West Ham’s full focus was on Fullkrug, so I think that also [signing] Jhon Duran would be really, really expensive. Let’s see what West Ham decide to do.”

Duran’s desire to join West Ham is unwavering, despite the club’s recent signing of Germany international Fullkrug. Romano added: “For sure, the player would still be keen on the move, because the player always wanted to go to West Ham.” The 20-year-old Colombian striker impressed last season at Aston Villa, scoring five Premier League goals despite limited playing time.

West Ham’s current attacking options, Fullkrug, Michail Antonio, and Danny Ings, are all in their 30s, making the addition of a young striker like Duran a sensible move. With Duran eager to leave Villa and develop his career, a move to the Hammers could be the perfect opportunity for both parties.
