Leicester City Secures Talent of Tomorrow with Wave of New Deals for Young Stars!

Leicester City Football Club has taken significant steps to retain and develop its young talent by announcing a series of new contracts and extensions. Among these is a new deal for winger Jeremy Monga, who made history last season by becoming the Premier League’s second-youngest player.

Monga, who turns 16 on July 10, will begin an academy scholarship this summer and is set to sign his first professional contract with the club in 2026, upon turning 17. The talented youngster, who has represented England at the Under-16 level, made seven league appearances for the Foxes last season and has been with the club since joining the under-9s.

Due to regulations surrounding gambling sponsorships and minors, Monga wore a blank shirt during his appearances last season. However, this has not deterred the club from investing in his future, and he is expected to play a key role in Leicester’s development.

In addition to Monga’s new deal, reserve goalkeeper Jakub Stolarczyk has signed a one-year contract extension, keeping him at the club until 2027. The 24-year-old has made 20 appearances for the Foxes, including 10 in the Premier League last season.

Other Contract Announcements

Leicester City has also announced the signing of first professional contracts for several young players, including:

  • Olabade Aluko, 18, defender, who made his Premier League debut at Bournemouth on the final day of last season
  • Silko Thomas, 20, winger
  • Bobby Amartey, 19, midfielder
  • Toby Onanaye, 18, midfielder
  • Stevie Bausor, 20, goalkeeper

Furthermore, the club has made a contract offer to 21-year-old midfielder Brandon Cover, who had loan spells with Port Vale and Fleetwood Town last season. These moves demonstrate Leicester City’s commitment to developing and retaining young talent, ensuring a bright future for the club.
