French club Marseille are reportedly looking to sign Manor Solomon from Tottenham this summer amid clamour from Leeds United fans to bring him to Elland Road permanently.
The Whites now have a hectic summer ahead of them with transfer strategy expected to be ambitious under the 49ers after promotion.
There is a question over whether Manor Solomon will remain at the club after slotting in the goal that sealed the Championship title for the club.
Marseille eyeing Manor Solomon swoop after stunning Leeds United spell
If it were up to the Leeds fans, Solomon would be signed permanently as soon as humanly possible after hitting double figures for both goals and assists – 10 goals, 12 assists overall in the Championship.
However, if Leeds are wanting to sign him from Spurs, they will be facing competition from Roberto De Zerbi’s Marseille, according to French outlet Team Football.
The report claims that De Zerbi is looking at the Israel winger after his stunning season in West Yorkshire, amid uncertainty over Jonathan Rowe’s future with OM, despite the fact his loan is going to become permanent through a mandatory buy obligation.
Per this outlet, Solomon’s entourage have confirmed interest from a club in the South of France, which could mean Marseille.
It goes without saying that Solomon has been outstanding this season and his form during our final six games of the season has been match-winning.
All but one of his goals or assists in that period have seen Leeds take the lead in a game, showing that he’s got the capability of dragging us through and over the line.
What that means is there’s obviously going to be eagerness to see him signed permanently, but can he step up to the Premier League?
Spurs and Fulham didn’t seem to think he’s worth their time, but this is the best period of his career and it’s worth considering.
The issue is that his form for us means he’s available to the highest bidder, like Marseille.
