TRANSFER BOMBSHELL: Tottenham Fans Left Reeling as Star Players’ Exits Remain on the Table

Tottenham Hotspur’s Transfer Window May Not Be Closed Just Yet

Despite the UK transfer window closing on Friday evening, Tottenham Hotspur may still part ways with two more players, according to Alasdair Gold. Left-back Sergio Reguilon and attacking midfielder Alfie Devine could potentially leave the club, with Reguilon’s future in north London looking increasingly uncertain.

Reguilon, who has not made a single appearance for Spurs in the last two seasons, was told by manager Ange Postecoglou that he would not be reintegrated into the first-team squad if he failed to secure a move. With the UK window now closed, Reguilon’s options are limited to European leagues whose transfer windows remain open.

Devine, on the other hand, was tipped for a loan move to League One side Birmingham City, but the deal collapsed on Deadline Day. However, Gold reports that the England U20 star could still depart on loan for a club on the continent, with several European leagues still open for business.

While most major European leagues have closed their transfer windows, smaller top flights in countries like Turkey, Netherlands, Portugal, and Saudi Arabia remain open. The Turkish Super Lig, in particular, has a window that closes on September 13th, making it a potential destination for Reguilon.

For Devine, a move to a European club could provide valuable senior football experience and exposure. However, it’s worth noting that Premier League players rarely move to smaller European leagues, making this a less likely scenario.

Tottenham’s transfer activity may not be over just yet, with Reguilon and Devine’s futures still uncertain. As the European transfer windows continue to unfold, Spurs fans will be keeping a close eye on any potential developments.
