West Ham United are on the brink of securing a significant signing, with Spanish midfielder Carlos Soler set to join the Hammers from Paris Saint-Germain. Reports from France had suggested the transfer was imminent, and now Spanish publication AS has confirmed the deal is all but done.

According to AS, West Ham will sign Soler on a loan deal with a mandatory purchase option of €20m. This suggests that the Hammers are committed to making the move permanent, providing Soler settles well in the Premier League.

The 27-year-old has found himself surplus to requirements at PSG, with manager Luis Enrique seemingly not counting on him for the current season. With Everton briefly mentioned as potential competition, it appears West Ham have won the race for Soler’s signature.

The transfer has been in the works for around a week, with West Ham pushing to get the deal over the line. It now seems they are on the verge of securing a talented midfielder who can bolster their squad. Soler’s arrival will be a welcome boost for the Hammers, and fans will be eager to see him in action.
