Leeds United Set to Miss Out a lifetime opportunity on Chelsea Defender Who is Compared to Thiago Silva as Burnley Agree Loan Deal with Obligation to Buy

Leeds United’s search for a new defender has hit a snag, as Burnley have agreed a loan deal with Chelsea for the services of Bashir Humphreys, a target for the Whites. According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the deal includes an obligation to buy clause, which will trigger a five-year contract for Humphreys at Turf Moor once certain conditions are met.

Humphreys, a promising young defender, has been on the radar of Leeds United manager Daniel Farke, who is under pressure to strengthen his squad before the transfer window closes. However, it appears that Burnley have won the race for the Chelsea player’s signature, dealing a blow to Leeds’ hopes of signing him.

Burnley manager Scott Parker is keen to rebuild his squad after relegation from the Premier League and believes Humphreys has the potential to be a key player in their bid for promotion. The Clarets are eager to secure Humphreys’ long-term future at the club, hence the inclusion of the obligation to buy clause in the loan deal.

Leeds United may now need to look elsewhere to bolster their defense, with Farke still keen to add to his squad before the transfer window closes. The Whites have been linked with several other defenders, and it remains to be seen whether they will make a move for an alternative target.
