West Ham United’s pursuit of Aston Villa’s Jhon Durán has intensified, according to his agent Jonathan Herrera. The Colombian striker has expressed his interest in a potential move, acknowledging the flattering attention from West Ham and anticipating developments this summer.

Colombian journalist Pipe Sierra, using the platform X, reported progress in West Ham’s negotiations to acquire Durán. Sierra suggests a close agreement between the clubs, with West Ham poised to secure the 20-year-old for a reported £35m fee. The deal, currently in advanced stages, hinges on finalizing paperwork and other formalities.

Durán, who joined Aston Villa from MLS club Chicago Fire in January 2023, has seen limited action under manager Unai Emery. A move to West Ham would offer him the opportunity for more playing time and a fresh challenge under Julen Lopetegui’s management.
